This service is for children aged 2–5 years who are registered with a GP in Basildon, Brentwood, or Thurrock. Where appropriate, parents and carers may be offered a face-to-face appointment with an Occupational Therapist.
Please note that this service:
Does not offer Sensory Integration therapy
Does not provide support solely for Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) applications
Occupational Therapists (OTs) support children to take part in the everyday activities they want or need to do. This includes developing independence in skills such as dressing, participating in mealtimes, self-care, play, and other daily routines.
Occupational Therapists consider a child’s physical abilities alongside other factors that may impact participation, including developmental stage, attention, and emotional regulation.
