I am a retired Finance Director and experienced Non-Executive Director and  I worked 25years in the social housing sector as a Finance Director and over 18 years leading organisations through continuous improvement in services for the public.
I am currently Trustee of Beacon Academy Trust since March 2018 and a member of the Finance & Risk Committee. Treasurer Redbridge Equability Community Council since 2016 a small charity based in Ilford dealing with hate crime and racial discrimination.

My role of the governor is to set a strategic direction and then ensure NELFT and its Board of directors deliver those strategic objectives and hold the Board accountable. Effective communication is key between board members and governors is essential. Having served on both sides, as a board member and a chairperson, I have always listened to and respected the views and opinions of my peers before forming my own opinions. This has allowed me to successfully articulate my decision.
