- Complex birth experiences
- Trauma related to previous birth experiences
- Fertility difficulties
- Foetal medicine
- Phobias around childbirth or gynaecological examinations
- Gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis and other gynaecological conditions that cause distress and pain
We take referrals from the maternity & gynaecology service of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust’s (BHRUT). We work across King George and Queen’s Hospital and in a community health centre setting.
Meet the team: Margreet Hendriks
Margreet is a highly specialist psychologist who did her counselling psychology training at City University in London where she graduated in 2007. Upon graduation she worked in mental health for a few years. Following this she worked for a few years in a clinical health psychology department specialising in general medicine which generated an interest in specialising in clinical health psychology. Since then she has worked in a variety of clinical health posts with extensive experience in pain management and long term conditions. She greatly enjoys working in women’s health (maternity & gynaecology) and looks forward in developing this service further and to establish an expert and progressive but compassionate psychology service to both service users and staff.
