Health visiting
We offer support, information and advice to parents with children within the Thurrock area from the antenatal stage (pre-birth) to the age of 5 years old.
We offer the following universal services for children and parents:
- Antenatal contact
- New birth visit – 10-14 days old
- 6-8 week visit
- 8 months to 1 year developmental assessment
- Between 2 – 2 ½ year developmental assessment
The health visiting team comprises: health visitors, community nursery nurses, and staff nurses.

Referrals will be accepted from parents/guardians, and professionals in healthcare, education and social care. Self-referrals will also be accepted. Please refer to the For clinicians page for more information.
